Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Drilld ("we", "our", or "us") is a pickleball training app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide, such as your name and rating.
- Training data: Which drills you complete, session durations, benchmark scores, streaks, and journal notes, used to power your progress tracking and to generate your daily session. If you are signed in, this data is linked to your account so it can sync across your devices. If you are not signed in, it stays on your device.
- Product analytics: We collect information about how the app is used — screens and pages viewed, taps and other interactions, features used, referring website, marketing campaign parameters, browser and device type, and approximate region derived from your IP address. If you are signed in, this activity is associated with your account identifier, email address, name, and subscription plan. Most of this is sent by the app; a few events are sent by our servers, because they happen when the app is not open. We do not record your screen or session, and we do not capture the contents of what you type.
- Device information: Standard device identifiers and operating system version for app functionality and crash reporting.
- Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe on the web, and by Apple or Google for purchases made inside the app. We do not receive or store your card details.
- Subscription events: When you start, change, or cancel a subscription, or a payment fails, our servers record that event with our analytics provider — the plan, its status, and for a failed payment the number of retry attempts. Payments settle after you may have closed the app, so this is how we can tell that checkout is broken rather than simply unused. We never send card details, payment amounts, or billing addresses.
- Partner Finder (optional, signed-in, 18+): If you post a listing to find drilling partners, we store what you put on it: a display name, your rating, your confirmation that you are 18 or over (never a birthdate or an age), the year you started playing, how many days a week you play, whether you're looking to drill or play, an optional minimum rating for who may contact you, what you're working on, when you can drill, a short note, an optional court name, up to three photos you choose to add, and your location rounded to about a mile. Other signed-in players see your card and a distance, never your coordinates. Your contact method is shown only to a player after you have both agreed to connect. Photos are resized on your device before upload, which removes embedded camera metadata including any GPS position, and are stored privately. Listings expire after 30 days; deleting your account removes all of it.
- AI Coach messages: If you use the AI Coach, the messages you send and relevant drill context are transmitted to our AI provider to generate a reply.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Drilld training experience
- To track your personal drill progress and benchmarks
- To understand how the app is used, which features matter, and where people get stuck
- To send optional training reminders (only if you enable notifications)
- To process subscription payments and determine what your subscription unlocks
Cookies and Local Storage
Drilld stores data on your device using local storage, and our analytics provider sets cookies and local storage entries to recognize a returning visitor and group activity into sessions. These are used for app functionality and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party ad networks.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers that operate Drilld:
- Supabase — database and authentication provider
- Stripe — payment processing on the web
- RevenueCat — subscription management for in-app purchases
- Apple and Google — payment processing for in-app purchases
- HeyCatch — product analytics and subscription events, which processes data using PostHog. It never receives card details, payment amounts, or billing addresses.
- Anthropic — the AI model provider behind the AI Coach
We may also disclose information where required by law.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account from within the app, which removes your account and the training data associated with it. You may also request deletion at any time by emailing us.
Children
Drilld is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, including product analytics, and to receive a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
